Honor unveiled MagicOS 11, built on Android 17, at its Global Developer Conference on 15 September 2026. The software introduces a Liquid Glass interface and an upgraded Yoyo AI assistant, and it ships first on the Magic9 series launched in China on 28 September
What Is New in Honor MagicOS 11
GSMArena described the design as iOS-inspired Liquid Glass, developed on Honor’s Luminous and Hummingbird architectures. The update brings redesigned icons, menus and widgets, plus customisable tinting for home-screen icons and the dock.
Storage Space 2.0 uses lossless compression to reclaim space. Nokiamob reported improved file sharing with Apple devices, as well as phones from Oppo, Vivo and Xiaomi.
Honor said the new system also improves wireless charging efficiency, according to Huawei Central, and adds a feature that lets a phone select the best available network in weak-signal areas.
Yoyo AI: What Changes
Honor says its Yoyo assistant can now chain tasks of up to 100 steps and integrates with more than 10,000 third-party AI services. GSMArena noted that this figure applies in China at least. Huawei Central added that Yoyo now recognises items such as pickup codes and trip reminders without manual searching.
Memeburn reported that support for Yoyo’s app-based agent features is thin outside China, and that most AI tasks run on-device. It also noted that global Honor phones keep Google Mobile Services, including the Play Store, Gmail and Maps.
Supported Devices and Rollout Timeline
According to Nokiamob, the public beta covers 18 models, including the Magic8 series, Magic V6 and Honor 600 series. A second wave, covering the Magic6 series, Magic V3 and Honor 400 and 500 series, is slated for a broader release in October and November. In the earlier closed beta, Gizmochina reported, Honor recruited only 2,000 testers per model.
Huawei Central reported that rollout times may vary by region and that Honor has not given an exact stable-release date. Beta testers can revert, but Memeburn reported that a rollback erases all data. Pakistani owners should check the My Honor app for eligibility notices.
