Quantum Data Technologies Limited (QTECH) has partnered with China’s Great Power Energy & Technology to introduce and locally assemble advanced lithium battery and energy storage systems in Pakistan, targeting data centers, AI infrastructure, and electric vehicle solutions.

Quantum Data Technologies Limited has officially entered into a strategic partnership with Guangzhou Great Power Energy & Technology Co., Ltd. to advance energy storage solutions in Pakistan. The collaboration aims to address critical energy demands by bringing advanced lithium-based technology and local manufacturing capabilities to the country. This major corporate development was formally communicated to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) under regulatory disclosures.

What are the key details of the QTECH and Great Power partnership?

Under the newly signed Strategic Cooperation and Market Development Framework Agreement, QTECH will introduce cutting-edge lithium battery products from Great Power. Great Power is a prominent Chinese energy technology firm listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (Stock Code: 300438), boasting a market capitalization of approximately US $4 billion as of October 13, 2026.

The agreement outlines a clear roadmap for introducing and progressively undertaking local assembly for a wide spectrum of energy applications. The primary focus areas of the collaboration include:

  • Residential and Commercial Solutions: Advanced lithium-based battery packs designed for homes and businesses.
  • Industrial and Utility Scale: Large-scale energy storage systems to stabilize power supply.
  • Tech and EV Infrastructure: Specialized energy solutions tailored for data centers, AI infrastructure, and electric vehicle (EV) battery networks.

Why is this collaboration significant for Pakistan’s tech sector?

As a data and AI-driven technology company, QTECH views reliable energy supplies as foundational to Pakistan’s technological growth. Frequent power instability and high energy costs have historically posed challenges for heavy data infrastructure and industrial expansion. By localizing the assembly of high-capacity storage and lithium battery systems, the venture seeks to fortify energy security for energy-intensive sectors like artificial intelligence and telecommunications.

Furthermore, the initiative aligns with QTECH’s broader corporate strategy to pioneer innovative technology ventures while generating long-term value for its shareholders.

What are the next steps for the agreement?

The framework agreement was officially signed on October 14, 2026, and submitted to the PSX General Manager by QTECH Director Khawaja Muhammad Kaleem in compliance with Section 96 of the Securities Act, 2015, and PSX Regulations. QTECH has indicated that further material developments regarding project execution, facility setup, and commercial rollouts will be disclosed to the public and regulatory authorities in line with applicable laws. Investors and stakeholders are advised to monitor subsequent PSX disclosures for timeline updates on local assembly plants
